This was a two week course that was held at the Heritage Institute at the Algonquin College Perth Campus. During the first week students built scaled down models of detailed sections of the second week project. This will help them to better understand the details and joinery that they will encounter during the second week.
In the second week we applied everyting we learned in the first. That is, we compiled all our knowledge into one project. The gazebo project consists of a sloping ridge, irregular hips, struts with bridal joints, ridge and under ridge assembly with a St. Andrews Cross, Dragon tie and Dragon beam assembly in the corners, a half hipped nosing on the front, and a 'Ferme sur Blochet' style bent.
